This week was such a fun week in Kindergarten. Our class Halloween party was a huge success. Thank you again to all the parent volunteers who brought in snacks for us on our party day! The students really seemed to enjoy playing and experimenting with the "goop". We will post the goop recipe onto the website if anyone is interested in making goop at home.
Just a reminder that on Monday November 2nd there is no school due to a Professional Learning Day for teachers. Otherwise next week is a fairly normal week.
Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween! Looking forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday.
Looking forward to next week we have After School Skating again on October 27 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Nicholas Sheran Ice Centre. Also, a reminder to some parents that we have our IPP meetings at scheduled times on October 28.
October 29 is our Halloween Party! Our morning classes will get to parade around school in their costumes at about 8:45 and our afternoon classes at about 12:55. Also, please check to see if you signed up to bring a snack, as our fun activities will include a longer snack break during this party day! We cannot wait to see how terrifically terrifying everyone looks!
See everyone Monday!
This week we had our second skating day. Thanks again to all the parent volunteers. We wouldn’t be able to do it without you!
Just a reminder if you are interested in donating food items for “Feed the Bug” please have them in by Tuesday October 20th. All proceeds will be going to the Interfaith Food Bank. There will be a “Feed the Bug” Assembly at 8:30am on October 20th.
There is also no school on Thursday October 22nd, as the teachers will be attending a professional learning day.
Have a great weekend!
This week we had our first skating day! Thank you to all the parents and adult helpers that came out to help us. We strongly encourage that every child has an adult helper as it makes the experience more memorable for your child. Also, please make sure your child has a warm jacket and gloves for skating. We will be skating again on October 15th.
Just a reminder that October 14th we have an assembly at 12:30pm to celebrate the retirement of Mr. Pickering. This is also western day. If your child wants to partake come dressed in their best western gear!
Further, on October 14th our school will be starting the "Feed the Bug" collection. If your child wants to participate please bring a non-perishable food item to the school between the 14th and 20th of October.
Reminder there is no school on Monday October 12th. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Last week was full of adventures as we went on a bus and headed to Lethbridge Fire Department #1! What a delight to see each child’s face light up throughout the day! In our classrooms we talked about appreciating our community helpers. It is always a great opportunity to reinforce discussions such as this at home.
Please remember that there is no school on Monday, October 5 because it is a professional learning day. Skating also starts next Thursday, October 8. Please drop off the blue skating forms prior to then. Lastly, if you have not already done so, please return the "Chirp, Chickadee, and Owl" form as they help us get free classroom resources. We thank you for your help.
We wish you all a wonderful LONG weekend!
